The Team

Albert Middleton has been in this industry for many years and has gained a wealth of knowledge, from working for Eastern Counties Buses starting in
1966, to running his own coach company from 1975 to 1981. He also held
management positions with Neaves and Eastons Coaches before he was transport manager and driver-trainer for Compass Travel. He had a year away from coaches, working in general haulage on ridged and articulated lorries.

Compass Training was formed in 1997 when Albert decided that it was time to break away from the parent company of Compass Travel and concentrate on training new drivers.

In 2003 he was joined by Melvyn Baldwin also from Compass Travel. Both Albert and Melvin are experienced and qualified driving instructors.

In 2008 Alan Wells joined the team to develop the CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training programme. Alan is also a driving instructor with knowledge of NVQ qualification requirements.

Compass Training is fully committed to its training programmes and improving the quality of the driving standard on our roads.

We will guide you through the training programme on a one-to-one basis to gain your driving licence and small group training for the ongoing CPC qualification. Our training is tailored to your specific needs.
